WTEN: Two Rams Ranked in ITA Rankings

FORT WORTH — Two Texas Wesleyan University women's tennis players have earned national rankings in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association fall poll.

Zeynep Ege is ranked No. 15 in singles, while Paulina Hudson is No. 38. The duo also holds the No. 23 spot in doubles.

The ITA releases national rankings each semester based on a computer formula that accounts for results from any ITA-sanctioned event.

Ege and Hudson secured their rankings through strong performances this fall, highlighted by the ITA Regional tournament. As a doubles team, they advanced to the semifinals. Ege reached the singles semifinals and qualified for the ITA Cup national tournament, where she won one of her three matches.

The rankings provide a significant boost for the Rams heading into the spring season.
