OKLAHOMA CITY - Freddy Joya of Texas Wesleyan is this week's Sooner Athletic Conference Football Special Teams Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday morning.

Joya claimed his second weekly award by scoring 19 points in a 46-12 victory over Panhandle State this past weekend. Joya was a perfect 4-of-4 in extra points and 5-for-5 in field goals with makes from 20, 38, 16, 39, and 34 yards in the win that kept the Rams undefeated in conference play.

Other Texas Wesleyan nominees included Tony Roberson for Offensive Player of the Week and Ryan Seymour for Defensive Player of the Week.
