OKLAHOMA CITY — Texas Wesleyan University players dominated the first-team all-conference list with 10 selections and 16 total all-conference selections. On offense, tight end Darren White earned first-team honors after appearing in eight games and recording eight receptions for 102 yards and one touchdown. Center Pola Nuu and guard Cedric Malone anchored the offensive line.
Defensively, tackle Daniel Aigbogun posted 36 tackles, including 10 for loss and 2.5 sacks. End Jordan Crawford posted 45 tackles, including 18 for loss and five sacks. Inside linebacker Sir Hill led the Rams with 73 tackles, adding 6.5 for loss, two sacks and two interceptions. Cornerback Jaiden Jones, who grabbed seven interceptions and made 24 tackles. Safety Deylon Rodgers contributed 43 tackles, three interceptions and one sack, with all individuals listed above being named as first-team selections.
On special teams, kicker Freddy Joya converted 16 of 20 field goals and 41 of 44 extra points, while punter Tyler Strumila averaged 40.4 yards on 55 punts, including 12 of 50-plus yards, to also earn first-team honors.
Second-team nods went to wide receiver Sean Smith, who caught 32 passes for 447 yards and one touchdown while adding 327 kickoff return yards and one return score in 10 games, and tackle Ronald Morrison, who played nine games on the line. Smith also earned second-team kick returner honors, and Marquette Martin was named second-team punt returner after averaging 7.7 yards on six returns in three games.
Quarterback Cole Francis and wide receiver Ronald Schneider received honorable mention. Francis completed 183 of 329 passes for 2,488 yards, 14 touchdowns and 12 interceptions, adding 162 rushing yards and three scores on the ground.
TXWES claimed a share of the 2025 Sooner Athletic Conference football title with a 7-1 league mark and an overall record of 7-5, bolstered by 16 players earning all-conference recognition.
The Rams averaged 32.3 points and 394.8 total yards per game offensively while holding opponents to 28.2 points and 354.3 yards, according to team statistics. TXWES' defense forced 18 interceptions and recorded 45 sacks as a unit, contributing to key wins including a 61-28 victory over Louisiana Christian on Oct. 11 and a 38-0 shutout against Arkansas Baptist College on Oct. 4.
OUAZ quarterback Luke Giron was named SAC offensive player of the year after leading the league with a 147.4 efficiency rating, 227.3 yards per game and 22 touchdown passes. Louisiana Christian running back Datlan Cunningham earned athlete of the year with 918 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns. Wildcats safety Kylon Polk took defensive player and freshman of the year honors with a nation-leading 11 interceptions. Panhandle State returner David Zeller was special teams player of the year, averaging 39.6 yards per kick return with three touchdowns. Louisiana Christian quarterback Bryce Perkins was newcomer of the year with 2,262 passing yards and 21 touchdowns. Wildcats coach Ben McLaughlin was coach of the year after guiding his team to an 8-3 overall record and 7-1 in conference.
TXWES shared the SAC crown with OUAZ and Louisiana Christian, all finishing 7-1 in league play.
