MTEN: Rams Land Commitment From Alejo Zurmendi

FORT WORTH, TX - The Texas Wesleyan Men's Tennis Team landed a commit over the past weekend. Alejo Zurmendi from Uruguay will be joining the Rams this coming fall season.

Statement from Head Coach Nicole Davis:

We are excited to announce the signing of Alejo Zurmendi, a talented left-handed player from Uruguay. Alejo stands out for his excellent ball movement and a powerful forehand with heavy topspin, making him a strong addition to our team.

Quote from current Women's tennis player, Paulina Hudson:

"As a Uruguayan, it's especially exciting to welcome another player from Uruguay to our program," said Paulina Hudson, part of the women's team. "Alejo's style of play and ability to generate spin will bring a new dynamic to our team, and we can't wait to see him in action."

Alejo is not only a talented tennis player, but an outstanding student that will thrive as a student-athlete here at Texas Wesleyan. I am very excited to see the positive impact that he will be able to bring to our team.

We look forward to seeing Alejo grow and succeed as a Ram. Welcome to the ramily!
