Rams Finish Sixth in Race for Commissioner's Cup

OKLAHOMA CITY – Texas Wesleyan University finished sixth in the 2025 Sooner Athletic Conference Commissioner's Cup standings, as announced by the league office during last week's annual Athletic Directors meeting.

The Commissioner's Cup standings are determined by assigning a point value for each school's finish in the regular season of SAC-sponsored sports. An average is then calculated from the points earned versus the total possible to determine the overall rankings.

The Rams accumulated 98 out of a possible 149 points to record a score of 0.6577, placing just behind Langston (0.6731) and ahead of Nelson University (0.5820) in the final standings.

Mid-America Christian captured the Commissioner's Cup for the second straight year after totaling 85 out of 98 points for an average of 0.8673. John Brown placed second with a 0.7670 average, while Oklahoma City rounded out the top three at 0.7049.

MACU finished in the top three in seven of the 10 sports it sponsors, including a regular season title in men's soccer and a share of the women's soccer crown.
