OKLAHOMA CITY - Texas Wesleyan University proudly placed 100 student-athletes on the 2024-25 Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) Scholar-Athlete list, ranking third among all SAC institutions in total selections.

The honor recognizes outstanding academic achievement by junior or senior student-athletes across all NAIA-recognized sports who have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.

In total, the SAC named 701 student-athletes from across its member institutions to this year's Scholar-Athlete list. To qualify, honorees must be academically classified as juniors or above, maintain at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA, and meet specific residency requirements with their current institution.

Oklahoma City University led all SAC schools with 122 honorees, followed by Mid-America Christian with 102, and Texas Wesleyan with 100.

Texas Wesleyan's academic standouts represent 17 different sports, including baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, track and field, wrestling, softball, volleyball, and beach volleyball.
