Cervantes Named as Head Athletic Trainer at TXWES

 FORT WORTH - Texas Wesleyan University has named Miranda Cervantes, ATC, LAT, MS, as its head athletic trainer.

Cervantes, a native of Oxnard, Calif., brings extensive sports medicine experience to the Rams. She earned a bachelor's degree in athletic training from Linfield College and a master's degree in kinesiology from Southeastern University. She is pursuing a Doctorate of Athletic Training from Temple University, with an expected graduation in 2026.

Before joining Texas Wesleyan, Cervantes served as head athletic trainer at Keiser University, where she provided care for championship football, softball and women's lacrosse teams. She also held the role of interim assistant athletic director of sports medicine, overseeing operations, compliance, and athlete care coordination.

Her certifications include Board of Certification (BOC), kinesiology taping, myofascial cupping, Master Dry Needling, and blood flow restriction. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association and holds American Red Cross Basic Life Support certification.

Outside of work, Cervantes enjoys spending time with her dog, Ziggy.
