IRVING - The Texas Wesleyan University Cross Country teams competed in the University of Dallas Invitational on Saturday morning in the teams second meet of the year.
Juliana Molina placed first among the women running in the 5k, on the other side,
Korey Allen placed first among the men's 5k.
The Rams had some strong performances along with their two victors in the meet.
In the women's 5k, Molina led the pack by almost two minutes with a first place finish with a time of 20:29.5, a 6:35.4 average mile pace.
Elizabeth Duvall was the second Ram to finish as she placed 11th with a time of 25:52.2 and right behind her finishing in 12th place was fellow Ram
Hannah Brooks with a time of 26:44.1. Rounding out the Rams was
Monique Hill, who finished 17th with a time of 35:13.6.
The University of Dallas was the only team score in the women's division, but their individualists all finished in the top 15.
On the men's side, Allen led all runners with a time of 17:19.9 and a 5:34.4 average mile time with a first place finish. Fellow Ram
Sean Torres finished in fourth with a time of 17:48.4,
Jose Hernandez wasn't far behind finishing seventh with a time of 18:27.2.
Roberto Jaimes finished 12th with a time of 20:16.6 and to round out the Rams finish were runners
Enrique Cabrera and
Kevin Preacher who finished in the 16th and 17th positions. Cabrera had a time of 21:23.9 and Preacher was clocked at 21:26.2.
The Rams finished second behind Hardin-Simmons with a team score of 34. The Rams continue to build towards winning their first meet of the season as a team and they continue to showcase their talent this year.
The Rams return to action in a few weeks as they travel to Hillsboro, TX to compete in the Hill Cross Country Classic on Friday, September 26.
