OKLAHOMA CITY — Texas Wesleyan junior Colin Price was named the Sooner Athletic Conference Digital Scoreboards Men's Golfer of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.

Price, a Benbrook, Texas, native, finished ninth individually at the Mid-South Classic at Sand Creek Station Golf Club in Newton, Kansas. He carded rounds of 74, 71 and 69 to finish at 2-under-par 214.

Price recorded 10 birdies during the tournament, including four in his final round. His 3-under-par 69 moved him into the top 10 on the individual leaderboard.

His performance helped Texas Wesleyan finish fourth in the team standings in a field featuring NAIA programs.

Other nominees for the weekly award were Jace Noey of Southwestern Christian and Sacha Brendle of Wayland Baptist.
