LUBBOCK, TX:  The Texas Wesleyan University men’s and women’s track teams participated in the Texas Tech Open Friday and Saturday.
 
The Lady Rams posted some very solid results.  Jessica Davis finished second in the 5000m with a time of 19:18.05.  Ann Segovia also turned in a top-10 finish.  Her mile time of 5:40.04 was good for ninth.  Lauri Gutierrez placed 17^th in the 800m at 2:31.10.  Davis and Maria Aguayo placed 13th and 14th in the 3000m.
 
On the men’s side, Bobby Hawes placed 7th in the 800m.  His time of 1:57.71 was less than a second off of the national qualifying time.  Ramiro Garcia and Juan Salazar finished third and fourth in their heat (20th and 23rd overall) in the 1000m.
