WGOLF: Starts Season with Strong Showing at Maridoe Golf Club

The TXWES Women's Texas Wesleyan Golf team, led by Women's Head Coach Kevin Millikan, competed in the Texas Intercollegiate tournament at the Maridoe Golf Club in Carrollton, Texas, Tuesday and finished first in their intercollegiate division.  

The Women's Golf team also finished on top, scoring 966 total scores for +102 over par. The group consisted of Seniors Emily Isaacson and Brooke Sullivan, Sophomore Malisone Chanthapanya, and Freshmen Megan Kim and Natalie Miksovska, who individually led the team with 239 score for +23 over par.  

Right behind her was Chanthapanya, who finished with a 241 score for +25 over par. Both combined 63 pars for the tournament, with 134 pars total, 15 birdies, and one eagle as a team.  

Next week from Sept. 19 - 20, the team will be traveling to compete at Le Mars, Iowa, at the Willow Creek Golf Club.
