The TXWES Men's Golf team competed in the NAIA National Preview, at Dalton Country Club in Dalton, GA, on Monday and Tuesday, placing sixth in the tournament.
The men's golf team finished the tournament with a 911 total (+47 over par).
Two golfers led the Rams in the tournament, including senior Tom Ammann who shot rounds of 73, 75 and 74 (+6), and junior Jung Woo Youn, who competed as a medalist shot rounds of 73, 75, and 74 (+6). Finishing the tournament T11, five shots out of the lead.
Senior Rory White shot 76, 76 and 76 (+12) rounds, finishing T26 with six other golfer.
Senior Juan Ricardo Davila Bone shot rounds of 76, 79 and 79 (+18), finishing T52, with four other golfers.
Graduate Student Chayan Duha shot rounds of 76, 75 and 84 (+19), finishing T57, with two other golfers.
Rounding out the team scoring for the Rams was junior Bryan deJonge who shot rounds of 81, 77 and 78 (+20), finishing the tournament T60 with two other golfers.
The field in Georgia consisted of 14 other schools, including Dalton State, Keiser University, Lindsay Wilson, Ottawa University (AZ), Truett-McConnell, Cumberland University (TN), Costal Georgia, Point University, THE Master's University, Southeastern University, Campbellsville, Oklahoma City University, University of the Cumberlands and Reinhardt University.
The Rams will host and next compete in the Ranger Fall Classic on October 16 and 17 at Meadowlake Golf Course in Enid, OK.
