OKLAHOMA CITY — Texas Wesleyan's Brady Meek and Makena Junkin were named the Sooner Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Golfers of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday. This marks the final weekly golf award until the spring season.

Meek won his third event of the fall at the Battle at Winter Creek, held at Winter Creek Golf and Country Club in Blanchard, Oklahoma. He shot rounds of 69-70-69 for an 8-under-par 208, recording 12 birdies, four bogeys, one double bogey, and an eagle over the 54-hole event. His performance helped the Rams secure third place in the team event, which included four other SAC teams.

Other men's nominees: Sacha Brendle, Wayland Baptist; Conner Cryer, Science & Arts; Lorenzo Santinelli, Oklahoma City.

Junkin earned her second tournament win of the fall at the same event, posting rounds of 70-72-75 for a 5-over-par 215, finishing two strokes ahead of second place. She recorded seven birdies and eight bogeys over 54 holes, contributing to the Rams' second-place team finish.
