Fort Worth, TX- Head Coach Randy Dalzell announced the signing of 2023 SAC Decathlon Champion Quentin Fankhouser. Fankhouser graduated this past spring from Oklahoma Panhandle State University where he played basketball and competed in outdoor track and field.

With two seasons of eligibility remaining, Fankhouser will compete this season with the Rams while working to obtain his MBA in Data and Analytics. As a high schooler he was an All-State basketball player and All-State high jumper at Goodwell High School in Goodwell, Oklahoma. He also played basketball at Cooper Mountain College before transferring to OPSU. Fankhouser won the SAC decathlon last spring with a score of 5720 points and just missed qualifying for the NAIA national meet.

"This is a great opportunity for Quentin to get his MBA and use his remaining track and field eligibility at the same time," said Dalzell. "Quentin is an excellent student and a very competitive decathlete, so we were very interested in having him compete for us when he contacted us about doing his MBA here at TXWES. Coach Cox and I are both excited to have him in the decathlon group and will try to make him an NAIA national qualifier in that event moving forward."
