WILLOW PARK, TX — The TXWES Men's Golf team clinched victory at their home tournament at Squaw Creek Golf Course on Tuesday. The "A" team secured the win with a 3-shot lead over Houston-Victory, with all 17 team players participating.
The "A" team finished the tournament at +5 over par, claiming the top spot. Juan Ricardo Davila Bone led the team, finishing with a 69 (-2) round and an even-par total, tying for 4th place. Chayan Duha carded a 71 to tie for 7th at one over par. Colin Price's 73 put him in a tie for 9th with Agustin Marquez, both at +2. Tom Ammann rounded out the team with a +21 over par, landing him in 47th place.
The "B" team finished respectfully in 6th place at 27 over par. Jose Sanchez tied for 4th with a final round of 71, while Jung Woo Youn tied for 7th with a 68. Bryan de Jonge tied for 27th with a +11 total after a 72, Peter Weng tied for 37th at +15, and Rory White tied for 55th at +29.
The "C" team finished 9th at +51 over par. Haroon Aslam tied for 27th with a 75, Jesper Brinchman and Kaisone Chanthapanya tied for 38th with 80 and 71, respectively; Shahyar Hamza also tied for 38th with a 77, and Benjamin Leon tied for 43rd with an 83.
Individually, Dylan Kiser tied for 27th with a 75, and Goncalo Correia tied for 61st with an 86.
The tournament concludes the regular season for the Rams. Next, they'll head to Kansas for the SAC Conference Championship at Sandy Creek Station Golf Course on April 29-30.
