NEWTON, KS — The TXWES Men's Golf team clinched the SAC Conference Championship on Tuesday at Sand Creek Station Golf Course; with a total of +10 over par, the team secured a comfortable 18-shot lead over Wayland Baptist, claiming first place.
Leading the Rams was Chayan Duha, who tied for 1st place with a final round of 78 (+6), securing an individual victory on the first extra hole.
Tom Ammann tied for 5th place with a final-round score of 77 (+5).
Juan Ricardo Davila Bone secured 3rd place with a final round score of 72 (E).
Agustin Marquez tied for 8th place with a 75 (+3) final-round score.
Colin Price tied for 17th place with a final-round score of 80 (+8).
Competing as an individual, Rory White finished in 29th place with a final-round score of 79 (+7).
Juan Ricardo Davila Bone earned All-Conference honors, while Colin Price claimed the Freshman of the Year award.
With the SAC Conference title in hand, the Rams are set to compete in the NAIA National Championship in Dalton, Georgia, from May 21 to 24, 2024.
