MSOC: Rams' Rollercoaster Ride: Heading into the 2025 SAC Men's Soccer Tournament

FORT WORTH - Texas Wesleyan University (9-9-0, 3-6-0 SAC), the No. 7 seed riding the high of a 3-2 upset over John Brown University (10-3-4, 5-1-3 SAC) last month, travels to face the second-seeded Golden Eagles in the quarterfinals of the 2025 Sooner Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Tournament on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Alumni Field.

The Rams earned the seventh seed over Oklahoma Panhandle State via head-to-head tiebreaker after finishing the regular season with a 0-2 loss at Mid-America Christian on Oct. 28. Texas Wesleyan handed John Brown its only conference defeat, a 3-2 thriller in Fort Worth on Oct. 9, and will look to repeat that magic on the road, where the Rams went 3-6 compared to 6-3 at home.

John Brown closed the regular season on a four-game unbeaten streak (2-0-2), including a 2-2 draw at Oklahoma City on Oct. 28. The Golden Eagles, receiving votes in the latest NAIA coaches' poll, posted 10 clean sheets or one-goal games in 14 contests and allowed just 1.0 goals per game. JBU went 5-1-2 on the road and will host the rematch seeking redemption.

Top-seeded Oklahoma City (11-3-4, 5-0-4 SAC) hosts No. 8 Oklahoma Panhandle State (6-5-5, 2-4-3) at 7 p.m. at Brian Harvey Field. The Stars, who won the regular-season title for the first time since 2014, topped the Aggies 3-2 on Sept. 29.

No. 3 Mid-America Christian (7-7-4, 5-2-2) welcomes No. 6 Southwestern Christian (7-4-5, 2-3-4) at 7 p.m. at Dill Soccer Field. The Evangels defeated the Eagles 2-1 on Oct. 11.

No. 4 Wayland Baptist (7-5-2, 4-3-2) hosts No. 5 Nelson (8-6-3, 3-4-2) at 6 p.m. at Hillard Field in Plainview, Texas. Nelson won the regular-season meeting 3-0 last weekend.

Semifinals are Friday, Nov. 7, with the championship Monday, Nov. 10. The winner earns the SAC's automatic bid to the NAIA National Championships. All games are hosted by the higher seed.
