WGOLF: Texas Wesleyan Women’s Golf Team Gears Up for 2025 SAC Championship

FORT WORTH - The Texas Wesleyan women's golf team is set to compete in the 2025 Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) Championship, scheduled for April 28–29 at Twin Hills Country Club in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

After a strong season of consistent performances, the Rams are eager to defend their title and continue their tradition of success at the SAC Championship.

Under the leadership of Head Coach Kevin Millican, the team has demonstrated remarkable depth and skill throughout the season. With standout players like Makena Junkin, the Rams are well-positioned to challenge for the top spot. The team has been a force to reckon with this season, earning impressive finishes in multiple tournaments, including the TXWES Spring Invitational, and they enter the SAC Championship with confidence.

Twin Hills Country Club will be tricky with its challenging layout and lush greens. It will be a test for the players. However, the Rams' experience in high-stakes competitions gives them a competitive edge. Texas Wesleyan's depth in individual and team performances will be critical, with every player needing to perform at their best to contend with other top teams in the conference.

The SAC Championship will be a competitive event, with teams like Oklahoma City University and Wayland Baptist challenging for the title. However, Texas Wesleyan has consistently shown resilience and determination, making them a team to watch as the tournament unfolds.

As the team heads into the championship, all eyes will be on Texas Wesleyan's women's golf team as they look to add another championship to their storied program history.
