TEN: Texas Wesleyan Tennis Receives Awards in Inaugural Heart All-Conference Selections

OVERLAND PARK - Texas Wesleyan University's tennis teams were well represented as the Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its inaugural 2025 All-Conference teams and postseason award winners Wednesday afternoon.

Sophomore Zeynep Ege led the way for the Rams' women's squad, earning a First Team All-Conference selection after a breakout season that saw her emerge as one of the league's premier competitors in both singles and doubles play. Carla Arce was named to the Second Team All-Conference, capping the 2024-25 campaign for the Rams.

On the men's side, Malte Sommer was recognized as Co-Newcomer of the Year, sharing the honor with William Woods' Noah Burton. Sommer also earned Second Team All-Conference honors, while teammate Marco Salamanca  was selected to the First Team All-Conference, and Luca Link also earned Second Team All-Conference, continuing Texas Wesleyan's strong presence on the court in the Heart's inaugural season.

All awards and All-Conference teams were determined by votes from head coaches across the Heart of America Athletic Conference.
