YPSILANTI— The Texas Wesleyan women's golf team closed out a week at the 2025 NAIA Women's Golf National Championship with a fourth-place finish on Friday at Eagle Crest Golf Club.
The Rams steadily improved each round, finishing with a team total of 61-over-par to secure their highest finish at the national tournament since joining the NAIA.
The Rams entered the final day in fifth but posted their best round of the championship on Friday, carding a 9-over-par team score in Round 4 to leap Marian (Ind.) for fourth place. Texas Wesleyan's four-round team totals were 310-306-300-297 for a 72-hole cumulative score of 1,213.
Leading the charge for the Rams was Raeleigh Davidson, who fired a 1-under-par 71 in the final round. Davidson's consistent play helped her finish at 8-over-par for the championship, placing her among the top 10 individuals in the field.
Salome Arango Marin turned in a solid even-par 72 on the final day, capping her tournament at +21. Makena Junkin (+16) and Natalie Miksovska (+16) also contributed key rounds throughout the tournament, while Lucia Larruscain rounded out the scoring with a 10-over-par 82 in the final round.
British Columbia cruised to the team championship at +17, finishing 24 strokes ahead of runner-up Keiser (+41). Marian (Ind.) placed third at +42, just one stroke ahead of Texas Wesleyan.
The fourth-place finish for the Rams marks a significant step forward for the program, which entered the tournament as the No. 7 seed.
