Oklahoma City – Makena Junkin of Texas Wesleyan has been named this week's Sooner Athletic Conference Women's Golfer of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday morning.

Junkin competed in the Texas Wesleyan Spring Invitational last week at Squaw Creek Golf Course and won the individual event with rounds of 72-72-64, finishing an eight-under par with a score of 208. Junkin won the title by three strokes over a field that consisted of five SAC schools, aiding the Rams to the team championship.
