OKLAHOMA CITY - Makena Junkin of Texas Wesleyan has been named this week's Sooner Athletic Conference Women's Golfer of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday morning.

Junkin competed in the Northwest Iowa National Invitational at Willow Creek Golf Course in Le Mars, Iowa, and continued her strong play this fall with rounds of 66-68-73, finishing with a score of nine-under-par 207 to secure a third-place finish in the individual event. Her performance helped lead the Rams to a first-place finish in the team competition. Junkin recorded two eagles, 11 birdies, four bogies, and one double bogey during the 54-hole tournament.
