KANSAS CITY — Texas Wesleyan University's
Makena Junkin earned NAIA Women's Golf First-Team All-America honors for the 2025-26 season, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced Wednesday
Junkin, a junior from Burleson, Texas, capped a historic season by claiming the 2026 NAIA Women's Golf National Championship individual title and was one of 15 student-athletes selected to the NAIA Women's Golf First-Team All-America Team.
Texas Wesleyan also placed senior
Natalie Miksovska of Prague, Czech Republic, on the NAIA Women's Golf Third-Team All-America squad, giving the Rams two All-America selections following one of the most successful seasons in program history.
Junkin's selection highlights a list of 45 student-athletes recognized across three All-America teams. She joined representatives from Dalton State, Keiser, Marian, Oklahoma City, SCAD Atlanta, SCAD Savannah, Southeastern and William Carey on the first team.
The NAIA also announced Chris Kamys of SCAD Savannah as the 2025-26 NAIA Women's Golf Coach of the Year after leading the Bees to their second national championship and fourth tournament title of the season.
Dalton State, Keiser, SCAD Atlanta and SCAD Savannah each placed multiple golfers on the First Team, while William Carey was the only institution represented on all three All-America teams.
