OKLAHOMA CITY - The Sooner Athletic Conference has announced Tyrece Grant and Hayden Norwich of Texas Wesleyan University as this week's Men's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, recognizing their outstanding performances at the JD Martin Invitational in Norman, Oklahoma.

Tyrece Grant secured first place in the 60-meter dash. He advanced from the preliminaries with a time of 6.78 seconds, meeting the NAIA "B" standard, and improved upon that mark in the final with a 6.77-second effort to claim the victory and further solidify his national qualifying position.

Hayden Norwich won the shot put competition, prevailing over a field of 16 competitors with a throw of 16.61 meters. This performance also achieved the NAIA "B" standard and earned him the top spot on the podium.

Other nominees for the weekly award included:

• Track: Marques Cameron (Langston), Case Drum (Wayland Baptist), Jason Granillo (Panhandle State), and Lucky Maila (Mid-America Christian).
• Field: Edmundo Avalos (Wayland Baptist), Ayden Hendershot (Panhandle State), and Ian Lofton (Langston).
