VICTORIA — Texas Wesleyan University won the Claud Jacobs Invitational team title by 75 strokes Tuesday, carding a two-round total of 44-over par at Victoria Country Club.
The Rams placed four players in the top four of the 20-player field. Sofia Gorgees Baeta led the way, winning the individual championship at 9 over (8-over 71, 1-over 73).
Natalie Miksovska finished second at 10 over (5-over 68, 5-over 72).
Makena Junkin took third at 12 over (4-over 67, 8-over 75), and Corrina Griffin placed fourth at 13 over (7-over 70, 6-over 73).
Their combined score produced the Rams' winning team total of 44 over.
Jordan Pillay tied for fifth at 18 over (8-over 71, 10-over 77).
Lucia Larruscaín, competing as an individual, finished seventh at 21 over (13-over 76, 8-over 75).
The Rams will next tee up at the Keiser Kup, hoster by Keiser University in West Palm Beach, Fl on Mar. 8- 10.
