WWREST: Rams Fall in Latest Poll Release

KANSAS CITY — Life (Ga.) remained No. 1 in the latest NAIA Women's Wrestling Top 20 with 233 points, while Texas Wesleyan dropped to No. 13 with 78 points amid shuffling in the rankings.

Grand View (Iowa) held steady at No. 2 with 200 points. Providence (Mont.) and Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) each rose one position to No. 3 (182 points) and No. 4 (154 points), respectively. William Penn (Iowa) fell two spots to No. 5 (153 points).

Southern Oregon posted the biggest jump in the top 10, climbing three places to No. 9 with 97 points. Missouri Baptist entered the rankings at No. 20 with 41 points.

Life (Ga.) strengthened its hold on the individual rankings by adding two new No. 1 wrestlers: Salyna Shotwell at 117 pounds and Reka Busa at 180 pounds, giving the program six total top-ranked athletes. Jordan Suarez of Wayland Baptist (Texas) claimed the No. 1 spot at 145 pounds.

Grand View (Iowa) led with seven wrestlers ranked in the top five at their weights, while Providence (Mont.) had six.

Other notable team movements included Ottawa (Kan.) rising to No. 11 (88 points), Hastings (Neb.) to No. 14 (65 points), Campbellsville (Ky.) to No. 15 (58 points) and Central Methodist (Mo.) to No. 16 (57 points). Declines affected Doane (Neb.) to No. 12 (83 points), Oklahoma City to No. 17 (56 points) and Evergreen State (Wash.) to No. 18 (49 points).
