OKLAHOMA CITY – Texas Wesleyan senior Makena Junkin has been named the Sooner Athletic Conference Digital Scoreboards Women's Golfer of the Week for the second consecutive week, the conference announced Tuesday.

Junkin earned the honor following her performance at the Northwest Iowa National Invitational at Willow Creek Golf Course and Spa in Le Mars, Iowa.

Junkin captured medalist honors by three strokes, finishing the 54-hole tournament at 14-under-par 202. She carded rounds of 66, 69 and 67 on the par-72 course.

The Burleson, Texas, native recorded two eagles and 11 birdies during the tournament.

The victory marked Junkin's 12th career tournament title, extending her Texas Wesleyan program record for individual tournament wins.

Junkin has now been named the SAC Women's Golfer of the Week in consecutive weeks after also earning the honor on Sept. 22.
