Scorpions Best Rams, 4-1

BROWNSVILLE, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University men’s soccer team (2-10, 1-3 RRAC) suffered a 4-1 loss at UT-Brownsville (6-3-1, 3-0) Saturday night.
 
The Scorpions scored in a flurry midway through the first half. Mario Perez scored in the 22nd minute and Pardaic Ormsby followed less than a minute later with the eventual game-winner. Juan Nava added a goal in the 37th minute and UTB took a 3-0 lead into the break.
 
In the 60th minute Ricardo Aguilera scored on an assist from T.J. Romaguera, marking the Rams first goal against the Scorpions in their last seven games. Aaron Ekberg got that goal back in the 63rd minute to cap the scoring at 4-1.
 
UTB outshot Texas Wesleyan 25-4. The Scorpions led 9-8 in fouls, while the Rams received four cautions to the Scorpions two.
 
The Rams will return to action on Thursday, when they host Northwood University. That game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. start at Martin Field.
