FORT WORTH, Texas--The fifth-ranked Texas Wesleyan Women's Wrestling team won eight matches on Thursday night to defeat No. 13 OCU 37-9 at Timber Creek High School.
Junior
Madison Brown won the 101 lb weight class by a forfeit. Brown earned five points in the match. Freshman
Jasmin Godinez won by a fall-over against Nadia Alejandres of OCU. Godinez also earned five points.
Sophomore
Camille Fournier defeated Carly Courcier by a technical fall. Freshman
Devin Patton also earned four points by defeating Kyla Leonard of OCU by a technical fall. Sophomore
Mea Mohler won by a forfeit and earned five points.
Sophomore
Lexi Basham also earned four points by defeating Sophia Smith with a technical fall. Freshman
Brittyn Corbishley and Freshman
Aalyah Villareal both earned five points by winning their matches via a fall-over.
The Lady Rams won three matches via a fall-over, two by a forfeit, and three by a technical fall. TXWES lost two matches- one by a fall-over and one by a technical fall.
The Lady Rams won eight matches and the lady Stars won two. TXWES moves to 1-0 on the season and OCU moves to 0-1.
The Lady Rams next match will take place in Marshall, MO. on Friday, Nov. 19, and Saturday, Nov. 20 at the Missouri Valley Open.
