FORT WORTH, TX: The NAIA has announced the 2012 Men’s Golf All-Americans and four members of the third-ranked Texas Wesleyan University team were among those honored, matching the highest total for in program history.
Golfers were selected by the All-American Committee. Fifteen student-athletes were named to each the First, Second, and Third Teams.
Texas Wesleyan’s 1964 squad, which one the program’s first National Championship, also featured four All-Americans.
Nathan Anderson was named to the First-Team after finishing as the national runner-up at this week’s NAIA National Championship. This season, Anderson notched four top-five and five top-ten finishes in nine events, while setting a school record with a 72.08 scoring average.

Dillon Watkins, and
Jose Rolz were all named to the Third-Team. Thelen took the medalist position at the San Antonio Shootout and notched a season scoring average of 73.33. Watkins was the Red River Athletic Conference medalist while notching a scoring average of 73.70. Rolz notched a scoring average of 73.46 in his freshman campaign.
Texas Wesleyan has now produced 79 All-Americans including 31 under the guidance of head coach Bobby Cornett. The Rams have also notched six National Championships and an NAIA records with nine national runner-up finishes and nine NAIA medalists.
